This is a modern type of Taishogoto that is played by connecting it to an amplifier. Yukyu is a unique playing style that uses a bow to play the strings! It can also be played acoustically without an amplifier. The basic structure and playing method with the left hand remain the same, but the bow is held in the right hand and played like a violin. The arched top plate allows for a wider range of motion for the right hand holding the bow. You can greatly expand the range of tones and expressions of the Taishogoto, such as a relaxed melody, ensemble tones, and expressions unique to stringed instruments such as slurs and trills. Like a stringed instrument such as a violin, there is a soul pillar inside the resonance box, which efficiently transmits the vibrations from the top plate to the bottom plate.
