AVOID JOOM – A RETURNS NIGHTMARE I ordered £75 worth of party decorations from Joom, but they failed to arrive within the delivery period originally shown. As they were needed for a specific event, the late delivery made them completely useless. I followed Joom’s return process and paid an astonishing £44 to send everything back using tracked postage. Joom then refunded just one item worth £24.22 and declined the remaining £50.78, claiming I had used the “wrong return address”—despite me following the return information provided through their own process. I now have none of the products and am £94.78 out of pocket between the withheld refund and return postage. Their returns process is confusing, excessively expensive and seemingly designed to make obtaining a refund as difficult as possible. If different products needed to be sent to different addresses or in separate parcels, that should have been made unmistakably clear before I spent £44 returning them. Missing the stated delivery period was bad enough. Accepting the returned parcel, refunding one item and then refusing the others because of an alleged address issue is appalling customer service. Cheap products are not a bargain when returning them costs more than many of the items themselves—and you may still be denied your money afterwards. Avoid Joom.
