It mounts to an acoustic drum hi-hat stand, and a motion sensor unit located beneath the cymbal senses the up and down movement of the cymbal caused by pedal pressure. The lightweight, thin frame reproduces the natural sway of a hi-hat when struck, and also enables smoother open/close operation. It supports differentiating between striking the bow edge, faithfully reflecting the position and strength of the shot, as well as the degree and timing of pedal open/close, in the sound. It delivers a playing feel just like an acoustic drum.
