■Features of Cast Iron Teapot The traditional craft of Iwate, "Nanbu Tekki," boasts a 900-year history and is characterized by its rustic and warm texture, which improves with use. The cast iron teapot excels in heat retention due to the material's high thermal capacity, and the interior is finished with careful enamel coating. ■Before first use and after use care: - Wash the inside of the pot and the tea strainer thoroughly with water or lukewarm water, and rinse well before use. - Use a soft, absorbent cloth to gently press against the outside of the pot to absorb moisture. - After use, wash again with water or lukewarm water, absorb moisture, and store. (Be careful as moisture tends to remain around the spout, under the lid, and at the base of the handle, which can cause rust. Note that iron rust is harmless, so continuing to use it does not pose health risks.) - If tea stains appear on the interior, wash with a sponge and neutral detergent. ■Handling precautions: a. The pot will be very during and immediately after use, so be careful of burns. b. Be cautious of dropping it when storing at high places. c.
