An endlessly expanding world, a world you can go anywhere: Experience the "open world" format, where you can freely move around, explore, and conquer a vast world. The world's conditions change in real time as time passes and weather changes. Streets filled with laughter, grasslands where birds soar, dense forests, deep, dark caves—traveling to your destination and exploring the world are all left to the player's will. For the first time in the FF series, an exhilarating action battle: "Shift" allows you to throw your weapon and instantly teleport to the spot where it lands. You can move to a high place and then dive to target enemies on the ground, and enjoy exhilarating action that can be done in any direction with simple controls. Furthermore, "Weapon Summoning" allows you to switch between various weapons in real time, "Cooperative Techniques" with party members are spectacular, "Magic" is affected by weather and terrain, and "Summoning" summons great beings, pushing the thrilling battles to a new dimension. A story of father and son, and of a king: Young Prince Noctis continues his journey to reclaim his kingdom, which was destroyed by the betrayal of the empire. The bonds of friendship. The bond with his father. And the bond of love. Strong bonds that can never be broken, no matter what difficulties they face, weave a moving story. Magic: While spells like Fire and Blizzard exist, the game employs a unique, highly realistic approach, with magic being influenced by weather and terrain. For example, casting Fire in a grassland will cause the flames to spread to the plants, and rain will extinguish them. Blizzard can even freeze the player themselves. This allows players to experience the effects of magic firsthand, drawing them even deeper into the world.
