BUILD A VINEYARD: Build Italy's most prosperous winery from the Tuscan vineyards you inherited in this worker placement wine-making game.
PUBLISHED BY STONEMAIER: Stonemaier is a St. Louis-based tabletop game publisher with worldwide distribution. Assigning tasks to workers: The vineyards are seasonal, meaning workers have different tasks to perform in summer and winter. There is competition for those tasks, and workers who get a job first often have an advantage over those who come later.
GOAL: Using these workers and visitors, vineyard owners can expand their vineyards by building structures, planting grapes, and fulfilling wine orders, working towards their goal of running the most successful winery in Tuscany.
Very Diverse: Visitors are happy to help out around the vineyard when they visit, as long as you assign a worker to take care of them (in the form of a card). The visit is short, but very helpful.
Beautifully designed and illustrated: Designed by Jamie Stegmeyer (Scythe) and Alan Stone (Euphoria: Building a Better Dystopia). Illustrations by Jackie Davis (Cubitos), David Montgomery, and Beth Sobel (Wingspan).
Essential Edition: Includes the base game of Viticulture plus mini-expansions such as Mamas & Papas, Fields, expanded and revised Visitors, Automa cards, and some minor rule changes from the original version.
Thematically designed mechanics: Over the years, wine becomes more valuable as it matures. Plant grapes in your fields using irrigation and trellises and turn those grapes into wine.
Solo Play: Featuring Automa playing against you in single-player games, it's a fun solitaire experience. Automa simulates your opponent, but the game remains the same for you as the player. On Automa's turn, flip a card over to see what action it will take.
GIFT: A great gift for board game lovers. Perfect for adults, couples, board gamers, and wine lovers.
