תיאור
This product recreates the locomotive as it appeared when it was attached to Hiroshima Locomotive Depot around 1975. Its standard livery of Blue No. 15 with a Cream No. 1 front is faithfully recreated.
It accurately recreates the single headlight, side filters and skylights that create a light and sleek appearance, and the long hull length due to the steam generator (SG) it is fitted with.
It recreates the appearance of the locomotive, with some of the wheel centers changed to a box-type when it was converted from a quill-type drive to a link-type drive.
It also recreates the distinctive flue for the SG smoke exhaust on the roof and the steam outlet on the running board.
It also recreates the air cylinder for the skirt release lever and the heating steam pipe under the air hose.
It also recreates the head mark stay below the front car number.
It features an LA15-type lightning arrester without a cover, and the signal flares are blue.
It is equipped with a power unit with a flywheel for stable running.
It comes standard with an Arnold coupler, and includes a replacement knuckle coupler.
Selectable license plates: "4," "9," "11," "16." Selectable manufacturer's plates: "Kawasaki" and "Toyo Denki/Kissha Kaisha."

The EF61 is a direct current electric passenger locomotive completed in 1961. Its greatest feature is its longer carbody length compared to the EF60 and EF65, due to the inclusion of a steam generator (SG) for heating and water and fuel tanks.
It is famous for operating freight trains with other EF61s or in multiple-heading with EF58s.
When it first appeared, it was used to pull express trains and 20-series sleeping car express trains on the Tokaido and Sanyo Main Lines, but was later repainted in the standard blue No. 15 paint scheme for new-performance DC locomotives.
It was primarily used to pull baggage and freight trains on the Sanyo Main Line, and was a renowned supporting player that supported transportation on the Tokaido and Sanyo Main Lines during the Japan National Railways era.
It is the perfect locomotive to pull the 10-899/1724 "Tokaido/Sanyo" Mail and Baggage Train 6-Car Set A/B, due for release around the same time. Furthermore, when combined with the EF65-pulled Blue Train or the 117-series Special Rapid Service, you can recreate the scenery of the Sanyo Main Line from the past.
