A quiet page feels different when the cover already asks you to slow down. This Lokta paper notebook brings a pressed Bodhi leaf to the front cover, layered in rose pink, soft beige and pale turquoise within a green geometric frame. It feels suited to reflective journalling, small sketches, lists, and the kind of thoughts that need a little space around them.
The pressed leaf cover
The front has a calm, botanical centrepiece, with the leaf veins visible through translucent colour.
A cream-toned background keeps the design soft rather than busy, so it sits easily on a desk or bedside table.
The green border gives the cover a neat, framed look, with small corner motifs that feel precise and balanced.
Colour tones vary slightly from notebook to notebook, making each cover feel personal rather than uniform.
The pressed Bodhi leaf design gives the notebook a contemplative mood before the first word is written.
Lokta paper, made in Nepal
This notebook is made from Lokta paper in Nepal. Lokta is known for its naturally fibrous feel, giving the pages and cover a tactile quality that suits slow writing, journalling and keepsake notes. The handmade finish means small variations are part of its character.
Ways to fill it
Use it for morning pages, travel notes, sketches, intention-setting, poetry drafts, or the small lists that make a day feel more ordered. Keep it somewhere visible, where picking up a pen becomes a simple pause rather than another task.
The Bodhi leaf in context
In Buddhist tradition, the Bodhi tree is associated with the Buddha’s awakening, which gives the leaf a quiet symbolic weight. On a notebook, the motif feels especially fitting: a place for attention, reflection and returning to what matters. This is not a formal religious object, but its imagery carries a sense of stillness that suits personal writing and mindful daily rituals.
