A soft pool of cream soy wax sits inside a chunky recycled glass Kilner jar, ready to bring warm light and a named Dolly Blue fragrance to a quiet evening. This scented candle feels calm on a shelf before it is even lit, with pale patterned presentation and a simple clip-top shape that suits slow, unhurried rooms.
The Dolly Blue candle mood
The fragrance is Dolly Blue, made for a gentle scented atmosphere rather than a sharp or showy room perfume.
The cream wax gives a clean, simple look through the clear glass, so it settles easily into a bedside table, bathroom shelf or reading corner.
The patterned cover and label add a soft mint-blue note, visible in the photo, without making the jar feel busy.
The glow stays low and homely in the rounded glass, more like a small evening ritual than a decorative statement.
Once finished, the jar can be reused for small keepsakes, matches or cotton pads after careful cleaning.
Soy wax in a glass Kilner jar
The candle is made with soy wax and perfume in a recycled glass jar. Soy wax is a plant-based alternative to paraffin wax, valued in candles for its steady melt and cleaner-burning character.
The jar has the practical, familiar look of a Kilner-style vessel, with a visible clip-top fitting and a rounded, weighty base. It feels like something to keep, not throw away quickly.
Lighting and candle care
Place the candle on a heat-proof holder or plate before lighting. Trim the wick to about 5 mm each time, and let the surface melt evenly where you can.
Never leave a burning candle unattended, and keep it away from curtains, paper, loose fabrics and anything flammable. Allow the glass to cool before moving or cleaning the jar.
A quiet note on Dolly Blue
