The long-awaited new book, "The Lotus Sutra in Modern Japanese," is now available!
This book, published on the third anniversary of President Ikeda's death, is the culmination of a modern-language translation of the Lotus Sutra, a universal teaching pulsating with the Buddha's great compassion and wisdom.
This book, based on Kumarajiva's Chinese translation of the Lotus Sutra, is presented in the most accessible and simple language for modern readers.
The translation also incorporates recent academic advances in Lotus Sutra research, as well as Sanskrit texts. Punctuation, line breaks, furigana, and quotation marks are used appropriately for ease of reading.
The book also includes corresponding pages for parallel reading with the "The Lotus Sutra in Modern Japanese: Opening and Closing New Edition."
The end of the book includes notes and an index of terms and phrases related to Nichiren Daishonin's Buddhism, further deepening your understanding.
