Nanbu Ironware, a traditional craft from Iwate boasting a 900-year history, is characterized by its rustic and warm texture, which improves with use. The exterior of this iron kettle is finished with a natural lacquer, while the interior is rust-resistant thanks to the traditional kiln-fired technique. This rust-resistant technique involves baking the kettle over a charcoal fire at approximately 900°C, forming a layer of iron oxide on the surface. The boiled water is rich in ferrous iron, which is easily absorbed by the body, making it an effective iron supplement. Dimensions: Approx. 17 x 15 x 13 cm, Weight: Approx. 1.2 kg.
