About Marukyu Koyamaen Marukyu Koyamaen began in the Genroku era when the founder of the farm, Hisajiro Koyama, started cultivating and manufacturing tea in the village of Uji Kokura, which was suitable for tea. Since then, successive generations have strived to improve the tradition and quality of Uji tea, and after four generations, they began selling tea as well. Later, in the Meiji era, Motojiro, who took over as the eighth generation, expanded the sales channels throughout the country. Our ``quality-oriented tea production'' is carried out consistently from cultivation to production, and we have received numerous awards and honors, and are widely known as ``Marukyu Koyamaen'' for quality.
