Some no Anbo Tenugui hand Hydrangea Tokuoka Made in 35cm x 100cm (Japanese towel) "Dyed White" - Hand-dyed, 100% Cotton, weave, Japan,

Ceramics that are painted with a base of indigo blue and then later decorated with a variety of colors such as blue, yellow, green, and purple are called "iroe" (colored porcelain). For this project, we have created a "sometsuke iroe" tenugui (hand towel) as part of our sometsuke series, featuring three common shades of blue with added blue-green accents. Hydrangeas, beautiful flowers that brighten up gardens even during the rainy season, are flowers with a strong presence and charm. In some regions of Japan, it is customary to wrap hydrangeas in washi paper and tie them with mizuhiki (decorative cords) on the summer solstice or the day of the ox during the summer, and hang them from a high position in the entrance hall to pray for family safety and business prosperity. This is a beautiful piece that showcases the refreshing blue-green reminiscent of early summer. Made in Japan, this is a high-quality Chita cotton fabric. Just like traditional Japanese tenugui (hand towels), both ends are left unfinished. It can be enjoyed as interior decor by mounting it on a hanging scroll rod or frame. Furthermore, at 100cm in length, it's also suitable as a face towel for kendo. Please note that the color displayed on your monitor may differ from the actual color.
