Product Description
Yojiya's oil blotting paper, loved for over 100 years, began in the 1920s.
It became popular among geisha and maiko in Kyoto for its ability to absorb excess sebum without removing makeup, quickly gaining widespread recognition.
Even after 100 years, it continues to be cherished.
Exceptional absorption and gentle on the skin
Available in a convenient large capacity for everyday use
Designed to blend into daily life without being overly assertive.
Compact size that doesn’t interfere when placed in a room or on a vanity.
The feel and size are the same as traditional oil blotting paper.
Yojiya's unique special washi
Yojiya has independently developed a special washi that can be used for applying gold leaf, specifically for "oil blotting paper."
By repeatedly pounding this special washi with a leafing machine, the paper fibers become activated to absorb sebum.
Finishing for superior absorption
By repeatedly pounding with a leafing machine, the fibers are finely loosened, increasing fiber density to the extreme.
This method results in excellent absorption that can instantly absorb only sebum.
Additionally, the repeated pounding smooths the paper surface, making it gentle on the skin.
