The characteristic of this sencha is its refreshing aroma, slight bitterness, and subtle sweetness. The first flush offers a refreshing green tea flavor with a mellow sweetness. When brewing, it is to slightly cool the water to around 75 degrees Celsius for optimal taste. This gyokuro features the mellow sweetness typical of Uji gyokuro, regarded as the standard for gyokuro. At this level, it is made from first flush tea leaves harvested from well-managed tea fields. You can enjoy the clear, pale emerald color of the infusion and the mellow sweetness extracted from the nutrient-rich tea leaves. A water temperature of 50 to 60 degrees Celsius is recommended, allowing you to savor a moment of relaxation.
