Designated as the first traditional craft of Japan in 1975, [Nanbu Tekki] (southern ironware) is a historic traditional craft that has continued for 400 years in a limited area of the southern Iwate Prefecture.
The interior is not coated with enamel. The boiled water will contain iron. It is safe for direct heat.
[Nanbu Tekki] excels in heat retention, which is another of its strengths – your tea will stay warm longer.
