The Nara craft of “kayaori” is a loosely woven, thin fabric that has been passed down since before the Nara period, described as “allowing the wind to pass through but not mosquitoes.” These dishcloths are sewn with five layers of cotton kayaori, becoming softer with each use, offering excellent absorbency, and providing durability for long-lasting use. They are ideal for wiping dishes, countertops, and hands. A small gift or token of appreciation.
