? TechniRouter 5/1x16 – Cascade Multi-Router Unicable II / dCSS (16 Receivers)
Are you looking for a professional solution that will allow you to connect up to 16 satellite decoders using a single cable? TechniRouter 5/1x16 is a new generation cascade single-cable router, working in Unicable II / dCSS (EN 50607 / EN 50494) technology.
The device allows you to send the full satellite signal and DVB-T2 terrestrial television to 16 independent tuners or PVR heads using just one cable line.
Thanks to the cascade design (pass-through inputs and outputs for 4 SAT channels and 1 terrestrial TV channel), it is an ideal choice for modernizing existing installations in single-family homes and multi-family buildings.
? The most important features of the device:
• ? Supports up to 16 receivers on one cable: The dCSS output allows you to power up to 16 tuners/decoders on one coaxial cable.
• ⚙️ Unicable II / dCSS technology: Full compliance with EN 50607 (Unicable II) and EN 50494 (Unicable I – automatic mode switching on the first 8 channels) standards.
• ? Cascade Design: Loop-through outputs (4x SAT + 1x DVB-T) allow for trouble-free connection of subsequent TechniRouter modules or multiswitches into one bus.
• ? Integrated terrestrial track: The DVB-T2/FM signal input enables combining terrestrial television and radio onto a common cable with the SAT signal.
• ?️ Low energy consumption: Advanced dCSS technology guarantees a high signal level with minimal power consumption.
• ?? Produced in Germany: The highest quality of workmanship and full reliability in continuous operation.
⚙️ Why is it worth using the TechniRouter 5/1x16?
When only one cable is run to the socket in the building, traditional installation limits the user to one single-tuner. Modern set-top boxes with recorders (PVR) or multiroom require the connection of many independent signals, which would normally involve renovation and laying new cables.
TechniRouter 5/1x16 solves this problem completely. It allows you to use existing wiring and connect even several modern multi-tuner set-top boxes (e.g. Ultrabox+, Evobox) on a single line. Each tuner operates fully independently, without any loss of quality.

? Frequently asked questions (FAQ):
❓ Will TechniRouter 5/1x16 support older decoders with the Unicable I standard?
Yes. The first 8 frequencies (UB 1–8) operate in the Unicable I standard (EN 50494), which ensures full compatibility with older decoders. Channels 9 to 16 are intended for newer set-top boxes supporting Unicable II (EN 50607).
❓ What converter does this router require?
The device requires a signal from a Quattro converter or a signal from the cascade pass-through of another multiswitch.
❓ What is the difference between the 5/1x16 version and the 5/2x16 version?
The 5/1x16 model has one dCSS output supporting up to 16 receivers on 1 cable. The 5/2x16 model has two dCSS outputs, allowing you to connect a total of up to 32 receivers on 2 separate cables.
