The Alp Trainer 2 is a progressive mid-cut hiking shoe with a durable, premium suede and stretch fabric upper and a waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort lining for reliable protection on variable terrain and in a variety of conditions.
It features a generous front rubber rand for added protection from rocks and scree. Designed for comfort right out of the box, it offers a precise, supportive, and hugging fit. Our patented, proprietary 3F System with steel cable provides secure ankle support and lateral stability, while the Flex Collar enhances the ankle's rear range of motion and comfort on descents.
Furthermore, the customizable SALEWA® Multi Fit Footbed Plus (MFF+) has interchangeable layers for further volume adjustment. Climbing lacing allows for adjustment all the way to the toe for better performance on technical sections.
Underfoot, the enhanced Vibram® Alpine Hiking outsole, exclusive to SALEWA®, delivers improved performance and control across a wide range of mountain terrain, and also excels in wet and muddy conditions thanks to dedicated climbing, grip and braking zones and an aggressive lug pattern.
