[Japanese Craftsmanship] Each item is carefully finished one by one in our own factory using our unique manufacturing methods. By producing in our own managed factory, we deliver safe and reliable products.
[Materials] The outer fabric is woven in our own factory. The filling is made by a long-established futon shop, using carefully selected materials. The rare cotton filling has superior heat retention properties compared to synthetic fibers.
【Exceptional Heat Retention】 The fibers retain body heat, providing excellent heat retention. You'll feel warm even on the coldest days, making it a comfortable item for winter wear.
[Fluffiness] Even if the fluffiness is lost after repeated use, it can be restored by drying it in the sun. It can also be washed at home.
[Reliability] Because dyeing, weaving, finishing, and sewing are all done in domestic factories, we are able to produce products of extremely high quality. Please feel free to pick them up and experience them for yourself.

A classic silhouette hanten (traditional Japanese padded jacket) made from a hickory stripe fabric known as "triple twill weave."
This hanten, handcrafted by skilled artisans, is soft, fluffy, and warm, and the twill weave fabric gives it a particularly soft feel due to its manufacturing process.
The pocket features a red tag with "watanosato" written on it, adding an accent reminiscent of a denim tag.
Deep pockets are placed on both sides, and the drawstring closure at the front is made of the same material as the main body of the garment.
This popular staple item from Watanosato features a slightly tapered silhouette towards the sleeves, providing warmth without restricting everyday movement.

[Explanation of Hanten (general purpose)]
"Kurume cotton-padded hanten" has become a local industry in Kurume, along with the textile production area.
It is said that this began in the 1950s when wholesalers in Kurume commissioned weavers to produce the fabric.
The secret to its warmth lies in the special cotton filling made by a long-established futon manufacturer, which is blended with plenty of cotton.
It offers excellent heat retention and moisture absorption, instantly absorbing body heat when you put it on, bringing you closer to your body's highest temperature.
Another characteristic is that it becomes fluffy again when dried in the sun, and the hanten made from a single piece of cotton is supple and comfortable to wear, conforming to the skin.
[Hickory pattern (twill weave)]
We wove our own fabric using the classic hickory stripe pattern. The result is a fabric that makes full use of the natural colors of the cotton yarn.
Because it is woven in a twill weave, it is less prone to wrinkles and has a more supple texture than plain weave fabrics. The cotton yarn we use is made by "KB Tsuzuki" (formerly Tsuzuki Spinning Co., Ltd.), one of the few cotton yarn spinning companies in Japan. Both the yarn and dyeing are done in Japan, with 40/2 count yarn for the warp and 20/1 count yarn for the weft.
The yarn's natural texture and color, combined with navy blue vertical stripes, create a simple and rustic striped pattern.
