The DS-1 is a legendary pedal with a history of over 40 years, introduced in 1978 as BOSS's first distortion. Sharp distortion and rich sustain are truly the origin of distortion. It has supported the feet of many legendary guitarists. The DS-1W uses a 2-stage gain circuit newly designed with special full analog discrete by skilled engineers. In addition to the standard mode where you can get sounds that symbolize distortion, it is equipped with a custom mode with tuning added to further bring out that possibility. A powerful distortion sound can be obtained in the mid-range while maintaining the DS-1 sound character.
