Mr. Iwasaki has contributed to the spread of the harmonica world by presenting fresh arrangements and new playing techniques for world-class pieces, such as his brilliant arrangement of Tommy Riley's "Balcentino" for solo chromatic harmonica. As new techniques develop, the development of suitable instruments is also essential. The "Super Premium Iwasaki Solo" harmonica is ideal for Mr. Iwasaki's latest techniques and arranged pieces. The body is made thinner to ensure ease of blowing without hindering performance. The reeds use a proprietary alloy developed by TOMBO. Each note in every key is crafted with the most suitable design based on extensive experience. Skilled craftsmen, authorized by Mr. Iwasaki, perform tuning and adjustments. The reeds are mounted using a resonant rivetting method, with meticulous torque adjustments for each note, ensuring more stable pitch. While maintaining the beautiful tone characteristic of chromatic harmonicas, the tremolo is tuned subtly to allow classical and expressive performances. Designed with microphones in mind, the instrument is adjusted for low tongue height (reed curvature) to produce a beautiful pianissimo, responsive even with weak breath, allowing easy execution of fast passages. Caution: blowing too hard may cause the sound to choke. The cover is shaped for maximum ease of play, selected by Mr. Iwasaki, and plated with nickel-chrome on brass, which best suits the soft tone. Its overall thinness makes it easy to blow even for women.
