Product Introduction
This is an unpainted kit requiring glue assembly and painting. While this is a 1/72 scale model, the detailed sculpting rivals that of a 1/35 scale model! Procured and deployed by the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) since 2002, this compact armored vehicle seats 3-4 personnel and was developed for strategic and battlefield maneuvering in multiple vehicles. It features a 4x4 all-wheel drive configuration and a 4.8L diesel turbo engine. It features five access doors and a hatch above the vehicle for a gun turret. The reconnaissance version is assigned to reconnaissance units under each division/brigade. Its distinctive exterior features include a rack above the vehicle, and in recent years, an antenna mast has been added above the driver's door. Basic Features and Specifications: This set includes two light armored vehicles. - 1/72 scale, finished size is 62 x 31 x 45mm (with antenna installed) - The hull is a slide-molded unit with the front, sides, and top surfaces integrated into one part. - The front lights are recreated using separate transparent parts. - The rear lights have separate transparent lens parts. - The glass is a separate, externally fitted part. - The rear of the hull is a separate part, and you can choose whether or not to equip additional parts by opening blind holes. - The non-slip/unfinished parts of the hull surface are expressed with detailed surface engraving. - The interior of the hull is also recreated using separate parts. - The seat (back) is a separate part. - The floor and interior are separate parts, reducing the need for different colors when painting. - The gun mount hatch can be displayed open or closed. - The gun mount is designed to be able to rotate 360 degrees even after completion. - A 5.56mm MINIMI machine gun and shield part for mounting on the gun mount are included. - The E-Pi is a separate part, allowing you to choose whether it's mounted or not. - The left and right front mirrors are available as a single part, including both the rear and under mirrors and arms. - The main undercarriage is composed of three parts, reproducing the distinctive uneven shape despite its flatness. - The suspension is a separate part, allowing for full expression without omitting any details. - The tow hook is a separate part. It is also possible to recreate the early model without the suspension. Unique Features and Specifications of This Product: Special parts are available for the JGSDF Intelligence Platoon specification, recreating its shape. - Bulletproof Reinforced Glass: Includes window frames/window parts with reinforced side and rear glass. - Additional Radio Mast/Antenna: Includes an antenna mast and antenna installed above the front door on the right side of the vehicle. - Standard Radio Mast/Antenna: Only the antenna masts on the left and right rear of the vehicle come with antennas. - Ceiling Rack: Includes a rack part that is only equipped on some JGSDF vehicles. - Field Radio: Includes a conventional radio for installation inside the vehicle. - Wide-area multipurpose radio: Includes a new, digitally updated radio. - The included decals are exclusive to the reconnaissance version. - Includes notations for a wide range of units, including the 1st to 15th Reconnaissance Squadrons, the Armored Training Regiment/Reconnaissance Squadron, and the 4th Reconnaissance Fighter Battalion. - Includes unit markings for the 11th, 13th, 14th, and 15th Reconnaissance Squadrons. - Vehicle numbers are real and are pre-paired with affiliation notations, so you can apply them without the need for research. - Vehicle numbers include individual numbers and vehicle nameplates. - Includes information boards displayed during vehicle exhibitions and the Armored Training Regiment's regimental markings. - In addition to assembly diagrams, the included assembly manual includes a dedicated manual with information and explanations about the LAVs belonging to the reconnaissance squadron. - The explanation of the actual vehicle is written by Toshiaki Namie. - Includes detailed instructions on how to use the decals, camouflage paint patterns, and detailed explanations of the vehicle's shape.
