It is harder than Teflon, but retains its advantages: it does not burn and distributes heat well. It combines the advantages of cast iron and Teflon cookware. It has all the advantages of Teflon, but is more resistant to damage, even surpassing ceramic coatings. The granite coating makes the cookware exceptionally scratch-resistant and durable. This type of pots and pans also allows for frying using a minimal amount of fat, because the cookware heats up similarly to stone and radiates heat across its entire surface.
