The authentic CuLife magnetic wide-range pickup, which was introduced for the first time in over 40 years, achieved rich, bell-like humbucking tones, and achieved bass and clear treble. The CuLife pickup, which uses a chrome cover, does not lose its sense of attack no matter how hard you push it, and achieves high fidelity clarity. The chrome cover has an exposed “3+3" pole piece design and fender logo, creating a 70s vintage feel. At the dawn of the 1970s, while popular music groaned with thick humbucker tones, Fender hired Seth Rover, a famous pickup designer, to add a fender-like feel to a higher-output dual-coil pickup. The wide-range pickup uses large bobbins and CuNife rod magnets to achieve a unique, radiant sound that was heard on Telecaster Custom, Thinline, and Deluxe guitars at the time.
