Shifter: 3-speed front, 8-speed rear, mountain bike style
Brakes: Suitable for V-brakes and disc brakes. Not suitable for cantilever brakes or caliper brakes.
Brake lever, 2-finger type
Compatible with Shimano mountain bike derailleurs. Can also be used as a replacement for older models ST-EF65-8R/L, ST-EF-51-8R/L, ST-EF-40-8R/L, and ST-EF-510R/L.
The shift adjustment bolt on the right side is not originally installed. Please refer to the explanatory photos.
This is compatible with Shimano mountain bike (Tourney) front and rear derailleurs with 3 speeds in the front and 8 speeds in the rear. It is the successor model to the conventional EF-51. Of course, it can be replaced with the conventional model without any problems, and it will synchronize with the front and rear derailleurs of the old model. However, it is not compatible with caliper brakes or cantilever brakes. For caliper and cantilever brakes, please choose the 4-finger type.
