We've brought your "wouldn't it be nice to have this?" to life! Our patent-pending "sealing process" finally overcomes the weaknesses of wooden products – microwave and dishwasher safe – resulting in a perfect lunchbox. *Meets manufacturer standards, clearing 300 tests each.
Despite being made of wood, it can be used without worrying about things that wouldn't normally be possible. It's a truly easy-to-use bento box. The surface is coated with urethane paint, so you can use it with any type of food, including oily dishes.
Because natural cedar breathes well, the rice doesn't get soggy and tastes delicious. The antibacterial properties of the wood prevent the rice from spoiling easily in hot weather, and on cold days, the natural cedar regulates moisture, preventing the rice from hardening and ensuring delicious rice.
Because natural wood is used, no two items will have the same wood grain or color.
The "Wappa bento box" evokes a sense of nostalgia when viewed, yet appears modern in today's world. Holding it in your hands, you feel a gentle warmth from its lightness and the comforting scent of wood. The subtle scent of wood is pleasant, and using it brings a nostalgic and warm feeling. We hope you will enjoy using this bento box, a part of Japanese culture, in a stylish way for everyday use. We humbly hope that having such a handcrafted item readily available will contribute to the preservation of traditional culture.
As you begin a new life with school or a new job, why not enjoy a fresh feeling by getting a new lunchbox? Eating slowly in a lunchbox made from natural wood is a wonderful experience.
Includes a removable T-shaped divider.
In addition, compared to regular bentwood lunch boxes, this one features a structure that minimizes gaps and has a highly durable, heat-resistant coating on the surface to strengthen the wood, allowing it to be heated in a microwave for approximately 30 to 60 seconds (up to 30 seconds x 2 times). The guideline for microwave heating is 30 seconds at 500W. If it is not heated sufficiently, heat for an additional 30 seconds at a time. *Not suitable for microwave cooking, oven cooking, or direct flame cooking.
Regarding the sealing process, we intentionally eliminated the fasteners on the bentwood box to reduce gaps and increase strength. The joints are secured using adhesive as before. There is no need to worry about the box coming apart due to the elimination of fasteners.
