The PCM1808 is a fully integrated single-chip stereo analog-to-digital converter ideal for both personal audio DIY projects and mass-produced cost-sensitive consumer electronics, with single-ended analog input support for easy integration.
Equipped with a 64x oversampling delta-sigma modulator, it comes with an on-chip digital decimation filter and a DC-eliminating high-pass filter, no extra external components needed for basic signal processing. Its serial audio interface offers flexible configuration, with switchable master/slave modes and 2 widely used 24-bit data formats to adapt to different host systems.
It supports power down and reset operations by pausing the system clock, which helps cut power consumption for portable applications. It operates on dual supplies: 5V for the analog section, 3.3V for the digital part. Manufactured with CMOS process, it is packed in a compact 14-pin TSSOP package for space-constrained designs.
