The fixed pipe tip is similar to those used in drafting mechanical pencils. It provides excellent visibility of the tip and maintains a clear view of the paper, making it ideal for writing small characters, creating diagrams, and using with rulers.
Equipped with a "Frenock" mechanism that allows you to advance the lead by shaking the pencil up and down, so you can continue writing without changing your grip. The Frenock mechanism can be locked by sliding the clip toward the eraser. You can also advance the lead by sliding the clip down.
